Finally, the sap’s running!

This is the time of year when we get freezing temperatures at night and warm days. That forces the sap to run in the maple trees. It is a sure sign of spring.

Kelly said... these photos. My aunt and uncle had a "sugar shack" and used to make maple syrup. Love when the sap starts to run!

Ah the joys of sugaring off. Having lived in Vermont, I really miss it and the fresh maple candy.
