White-winged Crossbills

A year ago, we had an irruption of White-winged Crossbills. Here are a few previously unpublished photos. First up is juvenile.

I love coming to your blog and discovering birds I don't about. Lovely shots! The males are a beautiful colour!

Great photos and the birds look very cute. I have a pine tree and cones next door but it's only White Cockies (Sulphur Crested Cockatoos) that come and demolish the cones!

Beautiful! I like both the birds and the cones.

Three great images Steve, good job they got an airing, far too good not to be viewed by many of your readers
