Stars spotted in Monterey

We took a quick trip into Monterey to walk out to the jetty by the coast guard station. The tide was low which exposed some sea stars. Unless you are familiar with the sea weed of the area, there isn’t much to give you a sense of scale. These sea stars are roughly eight inches across.

I love starfish. They look so delicate. I like the way they lay in various shapes with the "legs??". Carol

Ohhh, what a lucky find... I would like to see a few things in the wild before I die: puffins, penguins, and star fish! What neat photos :)
