Still Some Lobstering

I shot these a year ago. December is a time of year when the gear comes out of the water. The lobsters generally migrate out of the harbor into deeper water during the winter months. This makes it a good time to pull the gear, do some  maintenance and get ready for the next season.

Great pictures. It must be so cold out there. We lost a lobsterman about 50 miles off the coast of Maine over the weekend. He just fell off the boat. My son (who is in the Coast Guard) said as of Monday they had not recovered him.
Poor guy and I feel badly for his family.
In this economy and with the industry the way it is they just have to go out for as long as they can.

I sure wish I could pull one of those lobsters off the photo and have it for dinner tonight.
