Another calm looking day out at sea. I wonder how often these fisherman get pinched by those claws? :) Just idle speculation. :)

Yes, there are bait bags filled with chopped up fish. The lobsterman will pull out the old bait bag and replace it when he resets teh pots. The gulls hang out for a snack.

Picking up lobster is pretty easy. You grab them by the back. they cannot reach around. When they are pulled from the pots, the females with eggs are tossed back. The lobster are measured for size, small ones are tossed back. The lobster claws are banded to keep them from fighting and to prevent pinches.
