Now Steve!! Are you trying to confuse me more than I already am? LOL!!

you have really managed to get great detail on those white birds (something that is never easy). were they shot near dawn or dusk?

I love looking at the differences in gulls too. Some differences are obvious and others very subtle. I like the golden yellow eyes of the Herring Gulls.

Thanks Craig!

Kelly, if you're into studying gulls, click on my TIPS links. I have some helpful posts.

Ah com'on Joan, If you can master bugs, gulls should be a snap!

Hi Dale, Yes, I've shot at dusk, search on sanderling and purple sandpiper.

I don't shoot the dawn to much because I'm not a guy that likes early rising. Soon the sun will be setting later and I'll be shooting dusk again.

Hi Bernie, I'm tellng you, these four year gulls can drive you nuts. We get Gloucous gulls mixed in with Iceland Gulls and Herring gulls. The juvies will dive you nuts!

Hi Eve! Hey I think we're in for some good weather this weekend.

I have never noticed how much color some of them have around their eyes.

They are really quite striking, aren't they? I love the red eyeliner. :-) I love all my bird friends, even if they are considered pesty like the gulls and crows. People are so much pestier in their worse moments!

Great post. Thank you!
