My Little Chickadee

My community members will recognize this tree that I found in a San Jose' park where I photographed the Nuttall's Woodpecker and the Yellow-rumped Warblers. I was caught off guard with an unexpected life bird, the Chestnut-backed Chickadee. This was the only shot I was able to get off.

Sorry to my East Coast fans, you'll only see this in Central California up along the coats to Alaska. (It's worth the trip!)

Steve, you are blogging faster than I can keep up! But I'll do my best.

Love your 'bird against the sky' shots. The stark contrast of blue really brings out their colors. Chickadee's are always a delight to see : )

A great shot Steve. They look so fluffy and warm when everyone else is freezing. :)

Thanks Mary. Sharon, the problem is that I has such a successful photo trip to San Jose'. I've still got a few more species. I though I would be done with them after the first week!.

Hi Joan, this little guy is just a butter ball!
