Black-bellied Whistling Duck

I was at a pond in a park in Clearwater, FL, the place that I go to relax and shoot dragons. A looked around the corner and there was a Black-bellied Whistling Duck! This would be a life bird for me.

Roseate Skimmer

A common dragon that I see down in Florida is the Roseate Skimmer. These are all males, the third image is an immature male.

Back in the Atlantic North East

Sorry for disappearing again. I thought I would only be gone for a couple of weeks. It turned out to be a lot longer. I was in Florida again.

Just to breathe some life back into SMU, here are a few quick images of some birds flying against a backdrop of clouds washed by the setting sun. Here I have White Ibis and a Laughing Gull.

Mantled Baskettail

Dragon season is in full swing. Here are some images of Mantled Baskettails. You can compare this to yesterday’s Spiny Baskettail.
