Scarlet Tanager

I was lucky enough to see this Scarlet Tanager. They just love to stay in the tops of the trees. This male popped out for a pose.

Here he is joined by a female. Normally I wouldn’t bother with a shot like this, but how could I resist? A male and female Scarlet Tanager in the same frame. I believe that they were checking out a possible nest site. They came back here once more and were chasing out other birds.

Wonderful images Steve. Hope the male and female are not colour blind. :)
