Black-tailed Gnatcatcher

I found a few Black-tailed Gnatcatchers on a walk in the outskirts of Palm Springs. The first image is of one of the adults. The rest are juveniles. There were about five in the family.

I try to shoot the under-tails of the gnatcatchers out west. Here you see the characteristic field mark of the underside of the tail feathers.

They are so cute. Love the tufts of feathers in the first shot.
