Little Blue Herons

I must confess, when confronted with an all white heron, my first thought was not “Little Blue Heron”. This is a juvenile Little Blue Heron that I shot in January. A few days later, I found an adult standing on a car in the hotel parking lot.

Our Florida birds are described by Arthur Morris as ridiculously tame. It's unusual to see a Little Blue Heron standing on a car. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Cattle Egret on the other hand . . .

He's so beautiful. I would have thought an Egret. I love Little Blue Herons but I don't know that I've seen any around Hendersonville. Carol

Wow that's quite a contrast between the juvenile and the adult. Nice shots of both.
