Last Dragon of the year

The Common Green Darner is the biggest bugs that I photograph. This one flew out of the grass along the edge of the driveway as I was arriving home after work on October 12th. She flew into the phragmites (common reeds) that grow on the edge of the salt marsh. Except for the possibility of a late season Autumn Meadowhawk, this is most likely my last dragon in Massachusetts for this year.
