I’m getting some good shots this year…but not today. It all started at about 7:30 as I was getting out of the shower, I spotted a large dragon that landed in the hedge. I put my binoculars on it and got fired up because it was one that I did not recognize!
So I headed out with my camera only to find that it was gone. I heard my family of tricksters (my name for House Wrens) in the spruce tree. So I took a pot shot and got this image before it scolded me and took the kids into the deep brush.
Okay, it’s dragon season and it is hot and sunny. A perfect day to shoot bugs. I went to a place that I had high hopes for only to find that the dragons are not cooperating. I am getting good dragon images this year, but quite frankly the number of dragons that I’m seeing this year is W-A-Y down, perhaps because of the brutal winter we just survived.
This Ruby Meadowhawk is blowing raspberries at me from high up in a tree.
Here a Pearl Crescent is hiding from me.
Perhaps if I take a bad photo of an Eyed Brown, I can break the bad streak.
Nope. Some days a diamond, some days a stone.
