Ovenbird

If you have ever walked through the forests of New England in the summertime, you probably have heard this bird, but may never have seen it. I can remember hearing this bird as a boy. To me it was the sound of summer. This is the forth time that I have actually seen one.

Hardly ever see them, but it's call is one of the most common in the spring woods here, and easy to recognize. I did once find an ovenbird nest! built like a little oven on the forest floor.
