Savannah Sparrow

This past Sunday morning I found a small group of Savannah Sparrows foraging in a corn field in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

They are about the easiest sparrows to photograph but yesterday they disappointed me by showing up INSTEAD of Nelson's sparrows.

A birding friend tells me sparrows are the most difficult to distinguish. Your photo captures the uniqueness quite well.
