Phainopepla with Mistletoe

In the winter months, mistletoe berries are an important food item for Phainopepla. These photos were taken in the Palm Springs, California area.

I see quite a bit of this mistletoe in the Joshua Tree / 29 Palms area, and there always seems to be a lot of bird activity around it. I was also admiring your desert hummingbird shots from your previous post. Beautiful shots!!
