Low Bridge, everybody down.

We all grew up singing the old song, Low Bridge (15 years on the Erie Canal). New York State has an extensive canal system that does indeed still run from Albany to Buffalo. It also runs up through Lake Champlain.

In early October I took a visit out to my mother’s area which in near Waterford, New York. I did a little exploring on a rainy morning.

I believe that this is Lock 2. You can get a perspective of the size if you notice the fisherman just right of center.
