It is always a treat to find a blooming cactus in the desert, adding a splash of color in a seeming hard landscape.
I would like to show you an interesting bush from the desert south west. This is an indigo bush that I photographed in December.
In the springtime, the Indigo Bush is covered with thousands of tiny flowers. Hence the name.
The Indigo Bush is a member of the pea family. It is common in the Colorado desert and in the deserts in Arizona and Baja California.
