Where the heck has Steve been?

Sorry I missed posting for the last couple of days. We have been out of town. We thought it would be a good idea to go to Scottsdale, Arizona to get out of the New England winter. Yes, fresh air, sunshine and most importantly, temperatures above freezing.

We arrived just in time to experience the winter storm that bought the first rain to the area since before Christmas. Although rain is always fun for the desert folks we where somewhat disappointed that we did not have to worry about heat stroke or sunburn.

But we had fun! These were shot in the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix during one of the showers. One of the fun bonuses about or visit was seeing some works by Dale Chihuly that are on exhibit now through 18 May.

With rains like that in Arizona one has the opportunity to see desert flash floods. They are a sight to behold...from high ground of course. Glad you were able to escape the blizzards for a few days.

The good thing about rain is that you don't have to shovel it....

Right now I would take rain over snow and bitter cold temperatures. Glad you had a wonderful time! Such amazing gardens!
