Eastern Phoebe and Great Crested Flycatcher

We have quite a few Eastern Phoebes in the area. Here are a few that I found last weekend. This time of year the Eastern Phoebes have a bit of a yellow wash underneath.

Next up is one of my “almost” birds. Great Crested Flycatchers are our largest flycatcher in the area. I see them from time to time. I even have them in the yard. They do not stay in one place for very long and getting a good shot has been challenging. I think that they are stunning birds, I’ve just been having a difficult time getting a good shot of them.

The Flycatcher wasn't helpful Steve, he is like our Bullfinch in that respect, never quite in the clear open.
Great shots of the Phoebe, especially the first one with great bokeh.

Splendid looking birds. The flycatcher seems to have a very big beak.
