Losing Altitude

I could see that there was only one Osprey on the platform. I could here the cry of the second one in the distance. Far overhead, I’m guesstimating about 1500 feet, I spotted its mate.

Then it went into a dive, and it was carrying a load.

It dropped several hundred feet and did a breaking maneuver to lose speed.

It then went nose down and started another power dive.

And then it did another breaking maneuver.

It glided for a bit…

Whoo-hoo! Screaming to the mate on the platform, it lined up for another dive.

Wow! Wonderfully attentive and great action shots of beautiful osprey ~ used to see them lots on Cape Cod MA ~ not much on Cape Ann ~ ^_^

Bravo!! Wonderful series of photographs of one of my favorite sites! Living on the ocean, I see this almost on a daily basis, but only your skill and imagination could bring it to life for everyone to enjoy!!
