I’ve been having a tough year with the Purple Sandpipers. I just haven’t been able to get into the zone with them. But it is okay, it’s just good to know that they are here. Last Saturday out on the Dogbar Breakwater, the wind was blowing, the sun was going down and there were only a couple of Sandpipers dodging the waves.

The sun sets over Salem

Looking back at Eastern Point Light bathed in yellow light.

Today Zazzle.com is running a 40% off special on mugs! I’ve created a few wild bird mugs. Get one or make your own! Just have fun with it.

Great pictures! I love the cloud action in the second shot. I love to watch Sandpipers and particularly Sanderlings running along the shore line in Virginia Beach.
Stunning! LOVE the bokeh with the birds!
These shot were beautiful. The sunset was my favorite.

Thanks, Denise, I'd love to be watching the Sanderlings right now.
