Sugar Maple Grove Study

I found a grove of Sugar Maples. This year, the foliage seems to be favoring yellows. Every years is different. This summer was very dry. There is always talk about the results of the foliage as we try to relate it back to the weather. Last year, the foliage was a bust as all of New England was salt sprayed from Hurricane Irene. This year the the talk is about the lack of rain.

Still, this grove of maples is something special. It is really tough to find a group of uniformly turned trees.

Those are magnificent trees! I guess they have seen a lot, old as they are!
