Happy Halloween

©2012 Steve Borichevsky
Each year in October, I go out in search of graveyards in the area. This year, I have been investing a deal of energy into the wind turbine project. A couple of years ago, I did a compilation of the changing styles of headstones in this area, all shot in the beautiful New England fall colors. It will show you how the headstones have changed from the 1600s up to the early 20th century. I hope you take a few moments to enjoy this production.

To see the my historical headstone images, chick on the graveyard shift link. You will see headstones from Salem, Boston, Essex and Ipswich, Massachusetts. Also from Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Guilford, Vermont.
Momento mori.

The engraving and carvings on the oldest tombstones are so beautiful and artistic. Thank you for this photgraphic study. The borrowed background is gorgeous. 2010 was a good year to be photographing in Autumn. Aloha
