Baldwin Cranes

This is the site for our new wind turbine as shot at the end of September.

For the past couple of weeks, we have had two cranes in the parking lot. One crane to help build an even bigger crane.

This is a lattice boom crawler crane. Note that there are a stack of counter weights on a wheels to the left. For all you Tim Taylor fans out there, this Manitowoc MAXER 2000 can lift up to 500 tons.

The parking lot needed to be prepared with a level surface for the crane to operate. A great deal of pack was brought in to make the bed.

This is not the as tall as this crane is going to be. As the tower is built, they will have to lay down the crane and add two more sections.
