Forgotten Photo Friday, two gulls

During the summer, I tend to back off from the gull photos. And why not? We have the year round Great Black-backed and Herring Gulls. We occasionally get the odd Laughing Gull in Gloucester. So I have two rather unusual gulls for you today.

Soon the young gulls will inundate the area. Their incessant raspy hissing call will go on day and night as they beg their parents for food. But at this stage, they are fully fledged and they had better figure out how to blend into gull society because there will come a time when the adults decide that enough is enough.
