Wetzlar has an old town with buildings that date back centuries. I enjoy walking about the cobblestone streets and finding all sorts of new sites to see. Here is a statue dedicate to Saint Barbara that stands above a fountain.

One of the many churches in the area.

There are lots of passages through the old town. Wetzlar belongs to the Association of Historic Timber-Framed Towns in Germany. This is an alliance of 96 towns along the German Timber-Framed Road that strive to preserve this heritage.

The town has many old structures that date back centuries.

It is a wonderful town to walk around and just explore.

And while you’re exploring, drop in somewhere and have a beer.
