Palacio Real de Madrid Plaza de la Armería

Continuing with the photos from Spain, today I have photos to compliment the earlier post on the Royal Palace in Madrid.

If you have time to go to the Royal Palace, I suggest you do. Try and beat the crowds. We arrived early in the day. As the day progresses, the line to get in gets rather long. But fear not, there are musicians there to play for your tips.

In the foreground is the Plaza de la Armería (Armory Square) or Parade Ground. The public is not allowed to photograph inside the building, so I can only show you the outside. Once inside you can tour the palace and in mall on the left, there is an awesome display of the royal armor.

Come back later in the week. I will have some photo studies of the streetlamps and pictures from the Cathedral de la Almudena which is where I took the third photo from.

In a time of much less technology, we find the most ornate architecture. And yet now in the height of modern technology our buildings are so much less so. There must be a lesson in there somewhere.

Beautiful beautiful images. Carol
