Forest Floor Flowers

If you walk the the woods of the Atlantic North East you will likely see these flowers. First up is the Starflower.

When I make images like these, I think back to my formative years. We had a family friend, Charlotte Brooks who worked in oils and did landscapes and flowers. She was a big part of the Manchester, Vermont art scene. She always had a glass of apple wine for me.
