The Last Schooner Pictures of the Festival

At 6:30 am this morning, the Roseway, Alabama and Dove II prepared to leave Gloucester. It had been raining lightly all night and in the early morning. Here the Roseway is facing into the wind as the sails are raised. The Alabama is ready to go and comes ‘round.

With the wind coming out of the west (the right of the page), the Roseway starts to come around. The Estrela was raising sails in the harbor also, but alas, I too had to get ready to go.
