I absolutely do not believe I got this bird! I was walking on the Old Rockport Road and heard a hallow cu cu cu call. And there he was! It looks like there is a lot of light, but shooting this was extremely tricky because the amount of backlight on the bird and the New England hardwood forest can drop the light levels down.

stunning bird and shots Steve. I am always on the lookout for cuckoos but never seem to see or even hear them.
