Eastern Point Light

In all weather and all seas, Eastern Point Light stands watch over the rocks at the end of Dog Bar. Dog Bar extends over a half mile across the opening of Gloucester Harbor. This is where Dogbar Breakwater gets its name from.

Beautiful shot Steve, but I can see that now we have much more snow than you today... More that 50cm over here nowadays!

Steve, first I want to thank you for signing up to follow my photo blog "Cashjocky's Photo's." It lead me to your wonderful blog.

I have spent a very enjoyable half hour checking out all of your lovely work. Your introduction was very well done. I am certainly going to play with you directions on enlarging my photos even though I am both directionally and technically challenged.

While I have never seen one, I have been in love with lighthouses since reading a book about them in sixth grade. I have collected hundreds of photos of them and yours are amazing.

I especially enjoyed your shots of San Francisco Bay. It is one of the few places I have been (thanks to marrying a man from California four years ago) and I posted some of my photos of the bay in a blog post on my regular blog "Cashjocky and the Old Salt" a few days ago. I never did get to see the entire Golden Gate Bridge during my visit though.

You can count on me returning many times to enjoy your work.

Beautiful! I've always thought it would be fun to live and tend a lighthouse.

Nice shot...my family has roots in Gloucester, but I have not been there since the early 1970's. Thanks for sharing it with us....I'm adding your blog to my blog roll.

Cheers!
