In the summer of 2008, there was a ferry that ran from Gloucester to Provincetown on the tip of the other cape. It was a bit pricy for a day trip but a good deal of fun and we were glad we did it. Unfortunately, the ferry has not run the last two summers. All of these were shot from the decks of the ferry.

I love the last one a lot but all of them are beautiful! Well done Steve and have a nice week end.
I adore ferries. These photographs really give us all a sense of place, Steve. Thanks so much.
Just beautiful.
Well thats a smaller light than you usually display for us Steve.
I know of the Boston-Provincetown ferry, but wasn't aware there was one from Gloucester as well.
My whole family has been camping out on Race Point for at least 60 years. Growing up, we used to walk down the beach to play with the kids who lived at the lighthouse. I wish I could remember their names, but, there were five or six of them. Nice family. Anyway, to this day, I can still remember falling asleep in the campers on the beach, listening to the fog horn from Race Point. Thanks for bringing back some great memories.
