Autumn dragons

We are getting down to the end of dragonfly season. Below are two Autumn Meadowhawks and a darner with a food item.

Yes the dragonflies certainly are waning. I've seen a few lately but not like last week-end at York Beach.

I was talking with my neighbour, and a dragonfly - one of the red ones a couple inches long - sat on my shirt for about 5 minutes! Of course, my camera was in the house...
