Just a little bonus before I retire tonight

I’ve been encouraging folks to get off of the AUTO setting on their cameras and to pull out the owners manuals. I thought it was such good advice that I dug a little deeper into the settings of my D80. I solved a technical issue that has been driving me batty for the last couple of years.European Skipper on Lance-leaved Coreopsis 6-21-2010 11-34-48 AM

Eh-hem, it helps if one still has the owner's manual. I inherited my old camera from my husband and he doesn't keep papery things like that.

...Steve, this is gorgeous! Perfect in every way and so sunny and happy. I also loved your previous post. Looks like a fantastic place to visit.

Very nice image, Steve! I like the blurred background with this.

Beautiful image. I always learn a little something else when I glance through the manual. I need to do it more often!!

For Nature ID - maybe there is a manual you can print off the mfg's website??? Just a thought.

Ciao Steve, the colors of the butterfly and flower seem to blend together as they were part of each other. Beautiful!

I try to get out of Auto, I really do, but at times find it difficult. With motion shots though, Auto just won't cut it.

Beautiful shot, but i want to know what technical issue you solved, since I have a D80 also. Don't leave us hanging :)

Great macro shot as always.

I thought you photographed this in manual setting, when I view the EXIF data I got this ->
"Exposure Program = aperture priority" ;)
