How on earth did you get that shot? Anytime I come across a log full of sliders they *plop* into the water at that slightest movement! I can't creep slowly enough - wary turtles they are. You're good. I love turtles and this is wonderful. He looks so mystical and wise.

Steve,
I was blog surfing and was rewarded for my wanderings when I found your blog! Excellent turtle, Sir. He reminds me of my youth when I had a terrarium full of them, they were great fun!
I too live in the great Northwest, only I am on the opposite side of the country, also in an old working fishing village on the Central Oregon Coast. Alot of your harbor photos look like home to me.
Congrats on having 200 followers, I tipped the scales when I hopped on the boat! Have a fine and dandy day,

A great shot Steve. I never seem to get shots of them as they are always in the water. :)Besides, ours are a dull brown color and not very interesting.
