Rocky Neck Rainbow after the Storm

At 5:30 pm tonight we had a storm pass through.  I saw a steak of sunlight poke through the window and knew that this meant that a rainbow was imminent.   ©2009 ShootingMyUniverse

This was the most intense rainbow I’ve ever seen. DSC_0012

I wonder if the people in the red house would let me ding in their yard. DSC_0024-1

What awesome captures, Steve! The colors of the rainbow are so vivid! I don't think I've ever seen one quite like this -- and it's shadow! The whole scene is breathtaking with the water and the buildings and the birds! Marvelous! Thanks for sharing with us! Have a terrific weekend!

Oh my gosh! These are so fabulous! I hope to see a double rainbow in my lifetime - if I can catch it with a click - even better! These are fabulous!

Wow. Incredible results. Nature at its best and your photographic talent to capture it. :-) I'm SO glad I saw this via your photo.

In western Mass. it's been threatening rain all afternoon but so far just an overcast sky with pink tinges.

Have a great weekend.

That's a pretty intense rainbow alright! It must have been an amazing sight to see! There's so many layers to that bottom one, too.
