Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-five;
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.

The Old North Church sports a really cool weather vane.

So that's the famous Paul Revere, a magnificent statue and great photos as always. I also want to thank you for your previous post. I knew nothing of the Deerfield Massacre but did a Google search and now am better informed after reading some excellent articles. Another wonderful benefit of blogging, it peaks your interest and opens up all these doors into our history.
The silversmith who rode screaming, "The Redcoats are coming, the Redcoats are coming!".
There were not many moments in colonial American history that were more consequential than this. He was a true patriot.
thanks
And the British are such lovely people too! Fancy fighting us off!
It's nice to hear about Paul Revere a little today instead of the Marathon. I still get goosebumps every time I walk through Minuteman National Park in Concord/Lexington. If you haven't been there in a while it's worth the trip.
Great historic photos.
LOVED this post.
Great - thank you! That weathervane is really something else - wow!
Looks like a great place to visit. Nice shots.
Hi Steve,
I'm all the time amazed by the different subject you are getting over there. Your place seems to be a paradise for people who open the eyes. Mine are only stuck on birds, even when a volcano is blowing around ;-) Great post man!
Love your photos of Boston. Someday I'm going to come and see the places in your photos for myself. Thanks for sharing.
Great photos showing of the views around the city of Boston, it is one of my favorite places on earth, thanks for brightening up our day.
