The Crow

Not many people realize that American Crows are great mimics. Check this out.

Here is the crow doing his impression of an American Robin.

Here is the crow doing his rendition of a Rock Dove.

Here is our crow doing the Bald Eagle.

This is a real crowd pleaser...the Herring Gull.

Master Po from Kung Fu.

I know, I know, some people should not be allow to blog unsupervised.

Very cute. See what you did? I had to go look up Kung Fu (LOVE Kung Fu!) quotes, so will leave you with one I found: "If a man dwells on the past, then he robs the present. But if a man ignores the past, he may rob the future. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past." (who else but Master Po)

Has nothing to do with the amazing crow impersonations but there ya go!

LOL! I think the crow knew exactly what you were doing!!! Way back when, I had a great uncle who had a pet crow ... smartest critter on the farm. Happy critter day!

That is sooo funny! Loved it! I think I took a picture of a crow this week. I regret to say that I have not paid much attention to the birds around me until now. I'm heading out here soon to get a bird book so I can figure out what is around me. :) LOVED your post!

I have to say . . . Rock Dove is spot on. You captured crow in that characteristic, sturdy stride. Love this series and how it culminates in Master Po.

I have a flock of crows. A small family of them in this area too. They are such nice birds to have around and I love to listen to them talking to each other from opposite sides of town.

ark ark ark, I hated that crowing when I was in Australia. My mum hated it, and it is not an auspiscious bird. All that Ark ark ark.

Your American crow is completely bluish black. The Australian crow has white.

I think the robin was a stretch, but I don't think you need supervision quite yet. Maybe soon, but not yet. Now go and play. Good shots by the way!
