Great light on those shots Steve and a colourful bird. These are very much a Northern Britain coastal bird here mainly seen in Scotland and N Ireland. I have never seen one.

Typical scruffy teenager! (-: Lovely light on these shot Steve. So often I see RB Mergs as distant blobs on a rough sea, so these are a real treat to see.

I adore these birds! These are outstanding captures of them at their best. They never let me get close enough for a good shot. I love the way they pop up to dive down, kinda like a penguin. Great, beautiful birds!

Fabulous shots. So nice to see open water! My Muskoka is frozen solid; no water birds here!

Wow beautiful! you got a really nice light and beautiful shots of them... They are quite shy over here and you have to hide a lot if you want to get nice shot! Is tht the same in your area?

I agree with Jenny - scruffy teenager! I had to go back and check the parents, and yup, their hair is much tidier!

Awesome! But they always look slightly "out of their minds" with that spiky hair and those piercing eyes!
