We do not get many ocean going tugs into Gloucester Harbor. I'm not sure why this boat has come in, perhaps it is to get some work done at one of the shipyards.
That's Gloucester's newest addition! That one along with a 101' stand-by vessel will be home ported here to support the Neptune,Suez LNG terminal. I posted it's specs on my blog. Great photo steve!
Of all vessels tugboats are my favourite - bustling, tough, persevering. I love to see them herding a big ship into harbour or easing one off and away from its mooring.
I have visited many a blog but did not get impressed with content creation and information.Hence,I admire writer thoughts and views on each and every concept.
Welcome to Shooting My Universe. This is a daily photoblog of images from North America’s oldest working fishing port, wildlife photography and places I walk around.

I love pictures of boats in the water. The Ocean going tugs are so cool looking. Nice pictures. You live in a very picturesque area.
That's a neat looking feller Steve!
I love the kittiwake below too!
Nice shot Steve... I do not think we have this kind of boat over here, maybe only one of them is working around!
Whoa, that's one serious looking tug! It's a macho tug! This is very cool, Steve.
Nice photo, crisp, clear. I was there birding in your neck of the woods just Sunday. It's a beautiful place~karen
