Winter birds

I'm reading my blogging buddies' posts about their winter birds; cardinals, nuthatches, chickadees, siskins etc. I have my winter birds too.

On a more serious note, the Common Mergansers are coming back, the Common Loons are here, American Black Ducks, Great Cormorants, Buffle Head, Gadwall and Purple Sandpipers are all here.

Awesome shot as always. Great textures, not just in the bird, but the cleat as well.

Might be just a Gull Steve, but still a great shot.

I saw a Common Merganser today just off of Capt. Joe's dock. I'm learning from your blog!

Cool, Jay!

Hi Roy, Thanks!

Oi! Chris, If I post everything today, I won't have anything to post tomorrow!

Hi Mojo, This is a true Glah-sta' shot. Thanks for commenting.

Not much time for watching the birds lately but I am hoping to see the Pine Siskins or a Yellow bellied sapsucker on the feeders sometime soon.

Saw my first Buffleheads of the season about a month ago. No Mergansers yet but I'm sure they're out there!
