Sun Setting on Tenpound Island

This short video shows the colors developing and dissapearing over Gloucester Harbor and is made of still frames shot over a 70 minute period, one frame every sixty seconds. Although this is a quiet time of year on the harbor, you will see lots of working boats coming and going.

How very beautiful to watch the colours changing and the light fading, and the boats coming back to harbour. One of the most lovely Skywatch images I've seen.

That's a beautiful sky Steve. Wish I could watch the video (no on dialup). I really like the idea of taking stills and making a movie.

Hi Steve,
If I tell you that we know have this kind of things at 14PM, you're not gonna believe me, but that's it man.. Plus we got some snow today, and we will get negative temperatures from Sunday till the end of next week!! I do not dare to go out to take pictures and enjoy very much your sunset shots!

Something is wrong with my soundcard or my speakers or??? so I was unable to hear the music. The photograph is absolutely eye appealing. The thing I like adore is the moodiness that I feel looking at it. Excellent job!

Way cool Bro... And just think you had enough time to go out for dinner at the same time if you wanted to!! But why miss this event. I would watch the sunset every night if I could too, but you know the hill right behind my house!

Great shots and study

Hi Joan, N01TOX, Eve and Sharon, Yes, this is what I have to put up with in my front yard. But unfortunately, we have not seen the sun since I took this series. It’s been a week of clouds and rain.

Thanks Eileeninmd, Roy, Linda and Frank, this was a fun little experiment.

Wow Linda, thanks.

Sorry you cannot watch the video Gaelyn.

Hi Sylvia. Glad you like the little experiment.

Chris, I find that the New England winters are long. I don’t think I could survive the Iceland winters.

I love the video! It's a great idea. Mind you, we won't have any boats until Spring, but I will keep it in mind!

I agree with Jenn.
A very good idea. A lot of time consuming work, but a unique idea.
