Cape Ann Dragons
I’m just fascinated at what wonderful photographic subjects these dragonflies are. In this post, I’m showing some experiments. The first three are Meadowhawks followed by a Common Pondhawk feeding on a fly and a Blue Dasher finishing a meal.

Amazing shots of several kind. Beautiful! Helen
Hi Steve, Wow what a set... I have to say that the third one and the last one are quite stunning! These two are my favorites!
I especially love the green one Steve. That is one color we do not have here. Excellent series again.
Okay, I'm a little freaked out by the last two but they are all superb. I'm still trying to figure out that face of theirs!
Last week-end I tried my hand at shooting some dragons in our yard. Lets just say I have a ways to go.
...these are really nice. That third photo really grabs my eye, and the last one....wow! Love seeing how he has the fly in his mouth! The lime greens of the second to last dragon almost seem surreal...very cool.
Really nice job with these dragons Steve! Love seeing 'em!
Beautiful, all frontal view and the last one with meal is great.
Wow fantastic!
A 'green' dragon..whow. Nothing like that over here.
After looking at these I'll never be able to say, Oh it's just a dragonfly! Fantastic images!
your ability to capture dragon flies amazes me!
Looking at these again I can't help but think the Meadowhawk in the second shot down might actually be smiling at you!
