On the rocks

Tropical Storm Danny is coming through this weekend, so there is lots of soggy weather. We have had several wonderful days in a row, but today is Saturday which is a play day.

Last Tuesday night I went to Eastern Point to see what was migrating through. There was a little activity.

Good to see some waders Steve. I'm amazed how strong the white eye-ring shows up on the Spotted SP.

Can you give me an indication of what settings you were using?

Hope the weather is not too devastating for you. Cheers FAB.

Thanks, Denise and Janie.

Frank, I was shooting 300mm, F/5.6, 1/160 with spot metering in aperture priority. The sun was sinking low to the right of the frame.

The clarity of the birds and the hint of their environment makes for some great photos, Steve. I have so much to learn and studying your photos is helpful to me. (Though I have a LONG way to go...)
