This is the Eastern Point Lighthouse on a damp day. This is one of my favorite angles to shoot Eastern Point which I don't think many people take.

...love that red and white. You have such gorgeous architecture to study--a variety, but all beautiful and old with character.
I do agree that is a beautiful shot Steve.
Beautiful I love lighthouses!!//Eva
I can see why you like that angle. Love the red and white. What a great building and light house.
Someone had great foresight in using red shingles. The contrast is beautiful.
Your architecture is exciting. I look up at tree trunks and things like that and sometimes imagine they are light houses or church steeples but they are not. LOL
Hi Kelly. We are lucky that this lighthouse grounds are in such good shape. Straightsmouth Light is losing its keepers house to the weather and Tenpound Island has lots its keeper's house. This one is maintained by the USCG.
Thanks Joan, This is the first time I shot this angle if full daylight.
Hi Eva, I hope you can take some time to click the LIGHTHOUSE link to enjoy some of my other shots.
Yes 2sweetnsaxy, it gets to be sprawled out from other angles and you have to make some compromises.
Hi Sharon, I never though about it but you are absolutely right.
Hi Abe. Imagination is a good thing to have. When I lived out west, I really missed the architecture of New England.
I love the coposition and colors Steve!
Nice shot.
Beautiful light. I have a real soft spot in my heart for old lighthouses.
Great light house!
Would you mind if I copied the picture to paint it?
