SkyWatch Friday, Our Last Sunny Day...

Our last sunny day was on Sunday. I took these snapshots and put them on the back burner. Good thing that I did. We've had thin fog (makes the shots washed out and uninteresting, I like thick fog) and rain since. So these are the last sky photos that I took.

The top is a shot of the stern of The Ellinor and the bottom is a second year Great Black-backed Gull.

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the world. I've not been taking pictures for day, either the light is too bad or it is raining!! ANd this is gonna continue for a while apparently. I think Warren is getting the same kind of weather too! Let's hope the sun will come back soon.

Splendid photos Steve, love the boat and the seagull on the wing. Can't pick a favorite, they are both first class.

I also love the boat shot, the green color against the sky is great! And the sign with the name is so interesting; horses and something looking like a Old Norse knot!?

We have not had any sun here in over a week. Our usual "June Gloom" hanging over all heads.

There was only one way to photograph the back of that boat, with the sky in the background. Very nice Steve.

Wish I could get a shot of a bird like that. Not sure I ever will.

Great shots but that one of the gull is just amazing. What a capture!

That looks like a beautiful old boat Steve. Here we have just had 36 hours of rain but it has broken the extreme cold we were having. It is still cloudy with more rain expected by Sunday, so don't feel alone.

Its good to have some reserves Steve and that Great Black backed Gull is a monster of a bird.
