Flag Day, Gloucester Style

It's Flag Day in the United States. Here in Gloucester, the Boulevard is a popular place for people to walk and look over the Gloucester Harbor. You can see Tenpound Island Light, Eastern Point Light and Stage Fort Park as you walk past the Man at the Wheel.

Great shots Steve ! I can't believe there are those in the community that think the flags are over kill. Visualy you made them "pop"! And their true meaning can never be diminished.

Well I know that wasn't today! Maybe yesterday? What a wonderful display. Glad you captured it. I'm assuming they will be up through the 4th?

Thank you for the help with my camera yesterday Steve. I appreciate it more than you know! Great meeting you in person : )

Why thank you Thoughtfully Blended Hearts. You are welcome to stop by any time. Here in Gloucester, all boats rise with the tide.

Thank BPOTW.

Hi Hip Chick. Say, that's a new look for you, isn't it?

Hi dAwN, LOL, I couln't have been kidnapped by a nicer couple. I had a great time birding with you all. I hope you enjoy your stay in New England.

Hi Sharon, I was glad that I could help a little. No, this was taken about three weeks ago when the humidity was down and the sun was out. Soon (if it ever clears up again) it will be too hazy to get these shots.

I had a great time birding with you yesterday.

I know Jay, they just don't see the positive aspects of life. If they think this is over the top, they should have visited Red Square or Tian'anmen Square in the 20th century.

Hi Chris, good that you have celebrations too.
