This is the trawler Cat Eyes steaming past Tenpound Island after fishing all night. It's 6:00 in the morning.
Bring Back Summer

I heard there is already snow on the ground not thirty miles from here!
*gag* I'm not ready for another long winter. With luck, I think we can still
squeez...

That really is a wonderful inlet Steve. Is the tide out that the sandbar is showing?
One of the benefits of being an early riser.
It is also an ideal time IMO for shooting photos.
I'm glad the weather is a little better Steve, this is just beautiful.
I love taking early morning shots also. We haven't seen that much sun in a very long time though...and I'm only on the seacoast of N.H.
Beautiful scenery...Kay
Such beautiful photos with great light.
Hi Joan, The tide is in. What you see is Dogbar Breakwater in the background.
Matthew, I'm much better at getting up than I used to be. Still, the sun is up real early this time of year. In the winter, when it comes up at 7:00, it's too cold to go out!
Hi Eve, this was shot last week when we had the unusual good weather day. You were smart to get out of the north east this year!
Hi Hip Chick. I can probably see you from the west side of Cape Ann! We are not that far apart, as the crow flies.
Hi Kay!
Yes Arija, and this time of year, the humidity can get high and hazy. When it's clear, you got to get in your shooting!
with a view like this, i'd be inspired to become an early riser.:P
beautiful photos!
Nice stuff.
Beautiful shots! And a great place to spend an early morning.
A scenic view around every corner...You live in such a beautiful place.
Great photos...I will have lobster now!
Gloucester is such a treasure. I must get there very soon to take in the beauty. What gorgeous shots!
Like the shades in both water and sky on the first one! Sometimes (almost always when you are an photoenthusiast..) it pays off to be an early riser :-)
The second shot of the boat steaming by is truly amazing...such a pretty area... So many wonderful watery scenes on Watery Wednesday.
What a fantastic view you have of the harbor. I enjoy watching the boats as they come in the inlet here too.
6 AM. Mmm, waking up early/staying up late certainly has its benefits.
...beautiful. I miss the ocean so much. Your photos bring it back!
A peaceful and busy scene at the same time. Beautiful place!
Happy Watery Wednesday!
