I've got writer's block

What do you post when you don't know what to post? How about an adult Great Black-backed Gull harassing a juvenile?

As a parent of five teenagers all I can think is I'm sure that juvenile did something to deserve it. In fact, I'm pretty sure the parent is holding back. The last picture is priceless. It reminds me of Alfred E. Newman...who me?

Steve, excellent shots. This is one gull I CAN'T get a decent photo of so seeing yours proves it can be done if only I was as talented as you w/ my camera. ;o) HA

Hi Steve,
Well, I have to tell you that my DSL internet is really slow here. I'm sitting here waiting for the pictures to load and not much is happening. I'm so far behind on your posts. I will be very sad if I don't get to view your beautiful blog. Bear with me and know I am working on speeding up some how. It took a few minutes but finally got most of the pictures. Love the BB Gulls, the columbine are spectacular, they are the ones growing in the wild back at my old house, and I have the Great Crested Flycatchers here in my woods. I love to hear them call! Love the harbor shots as usual and the knots are just a treat! Thanks Steve!

Ha..ha! don't know what to post. You have so many unprocessed pics your HDD. ;)
Good 'harassment' pictures. A usual, good exposure control of black and white subjects.

Don't look like writers block to me. Hell Steve, you could shot bird poop and it would look good...:-)

Richards comment made me laugh and I totally agree with him! Fab shots Steve. I'm having the same bloggers block right now, not that I think you have in my opinion.
(-:Great post!

Hi ButterYum, Thanks for stopping by.

Joan, I know where you are coming from.

Hi Hip Chick, LOL!

Hey Kim, if you were living in Gloucester and never crossed the bridge like me, you’d have plenty of opportunities! Besides, I just saw your Virginia Rail shots and I’ve seen some of your warbler shots recently...who are you kidding, young lady? You do just fine.

Hi Roy, they do have a bit of a ‘tude with the smaller gulls…oh, wait, all of the other gulls are smaller.

Eve, I understand that DSL has various speed issues. My DSL in Colorado was pretty good, but it can depend on a lot of factors. I hope that you can get some speed. I was wondering why it would take so long so I checked into it. The answer is that the blog platform renders it as a bitmap. So my 84 kb picture turns into a 1.3Mb bitmap. What the heck? No wonder it takes do long to load.

Hi Richard and Jenny, Why, I have photographed bird poop before!

Hi ButterYum, You can always stop in, the door's always open!

Arija, who knows what goes on in a Gull's mind, except "Mine. That's Mine. You going to eat all of that? Mine. Mine. Mine."

Ha - gave me a big laugh! Don't need to say a word - the pictures speak for them selves! :)

Sometimes we see so many colorful birds that we forget how beautiful each individual bird is.

These are great and I like the order in which you posted them. That last one, he looks like he's daring you to say something about him pulling on the wing of the other bird. :-)

Hi Steve,

I am so far behind with my blog reading, spent a few days out of town and have a couple hundred post to catch up on....

What a naughty bird! But I forgive him because I do so love gulls. Great 'caught in the moment' photography.

I've had writer's block lately... now why didn't I think of that? Probably because I could never take such wonderful photos! :)
